Our client is a well-funded, early-stage start-up that seeks an exceptional Senior Java Software Engineer with a strong distributed microservices background to join their growing team. 

Position Overview:

As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power the platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the business objectives and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

* Drive TDD and ability to design Unit, Integration, Functional and Non-Functional Tests (Reliability, Performance & Cyber security). 

* Continuously improve the quality systems and codebase via best practices, including code reviews and refactoring 

* Participate in the technical design of features.

Qualifications:

* Test Driven Development (TDD) 

* 5+ years Java

* Understanding of modern architecture and design patterns, including Microservices.

* Experience with Spring & Kafka

* Containerization, DevOps and CI/CD.
