Introducing Beyond Vibe Coding: Our New Podcast Partnership
Software engineering is changing faster than at any point in our lifetimes, and most of the honest conversations about what that really means are happening behind closed doors. We wanted to bring them out into the open. That is why we are proud to announce that Impala Search has partnered with Sebastian Heide-Meyer zu Erpen and André Neubauer to take their podcast, Beyond Vibe Coding, to a much bigger stage.

What is Beyond Vibe Coding?
Beyond Vibe Coding is a podcast about the transformational change happening in software engineering and knowledge work more broadly. It goes past the hype to ask the harder questions: how is AI actually changing the way teams build, hire, and work? What is real, and what is just noise?
Each episode brings on a leader who is living that change day to day, and lets them speak first about what is coming next. The result is less theory and more of what genuinely works right now.
The show is hosted by its creators, Sebastian and André, two engineering and product leaders who know the subject from the inside. Our job at Impala is to give the podcast the platform, guests and production it deserves.
Why we are doing this
At Impala, we spend our days talking to engineering leaders across Germany and Europe about the talent they need to build what comes next. The sharpest thinking about where the field is heading usually stays locked away in a private call.
Beyond Vibe Coding is our way of opening those conversations up. As the go-to tech and executive search partner for start-ups and scale-ups in Germany, we sit at the meeting point of the people building the future and the leaders hiring for it. This podcast lets us share what we hear, with the people who most need to hear it.
It also fits who we are. We were named UK Recruitment Agency of the Year, and that came from caring about the detail in everything we do. We intend to bring the same standard here, and our ambition is to make Beyond Vibe Coding Europe's leading podcast on the future of software engineering.
What to expect
We kicked off the new era with Csaba Tamas, Chief Product Officer at Parloa, one of Germany's fastest-growing AI companies. It is a brilliant, no-holds-barred conversation covering why prototypes now come before requirements, why multi-agent systems hallucinate handoffs, and why so many agentic projects never make it into production.
In our second episode, we spoke with Franzi, who leads the People Partner team for Engineering and Security at Miro, about how AI is reshaping hiring and the people function. Her take is a wake-up call: the gap between candidates who have genuinely used AI at work and those who have not is already visible in hiring, and it is only widening.
