Role Overview:

As the Head of IoT Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in leading and growing the IoT engineering teams. You’ll be responsible for managing the budget, aligning the product roadmap with business objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and technical oversight, ensuring that the IoT systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Budget & Roadmap: Manage the IoT engineering budget and collaborate closely with product management to define and drive the product roadmap.

* Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the IoT engineering teams, conducting performance reviews, development sessions, and creating a high-performance culture.

* Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical guidance to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of IoT systems.

* Team Growth: Recruit top-tier software and hardware engineering talent, championing a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications:

* Hands-on experience managing large-scale IoT fleets.

* Exposure to machine learning algorithms using device data.

* Experience with industry-standard messaging brokers (e.g., MQTT).

* Proven experience in people leadership and team management.

* Proficiency in English and a commitment to being regularly on-site at the company’s Munich office.
