Following a $60M raise across multiple rounds - including a Series B in 2023 - this California-HQ'd business is now backed by top-tier investors and A-rated insurance partners. Their platform is already trusted by a growing network of brokers and carriers nationwide.

As they enter their next phase of growth, they’re hiring a VP of Engineering to lead their distributed team and shape the future of insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own engineering outcomes across multiple teams, delivering a world-class product that combines machine learning, risk analytics, and core insurance workflows.

- Build, coach, and scale a high-performing engineering org - balancing full-time hires with third-party partners to meet evolving needs.

- Drive technical execution across product delivery, quality, and velocity - while fostering a high-accountability, low-ego culture.

Your Profile:

- 7+ years in engineering leadership, including managing distributed or remote-first teams in high-growth environments.

- Proven track record of scaling technical teams, including hiring, org design, mentoring, and performance management.

- Comfortable managing multiple streams of work and cross-functional collaboration across Product, Design, and Business.

- Strong technical grounding - whether in systems architecture, modern web infrastructure, or AI/ML-powered platforms.

- Excellent communicator with a bias for action and clarity.

- Experience in insurance, fintech, or SaaS is a strong plus.
